She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ray Grooms Sr. and Ola Lee Johnson Grooms; her husband Ronald L. "Ronnie" Turnage; and her brothers, Jimmy, Ellis and Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Rene T. Wallace (Paul Wallace IV) of Hartsville, SC and Byran Turnage (Lisa Turnage) of Summerfield, NC; her grandchildren, Landon Turnage, Brett Wallace and Reagan Wallace; her great grandchildren, Ava Turnage and Karson Turnage; and her siblings, Kathy Grooms of Chesterfield, SC, Vera Tolson (Lowell) of Anderson, SC and Otis Grooms of Chesterfield, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel (318 E Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (1888 Bay Springs Church Rd, Chesterfield, SC 29709).
