He is survived by: his wife Dot Eddins Pender; his children, Gerald "Wayne" Pender of Chesterfield, SC, Cindy P. Beard (John) of Chesterfield, SC and Shelia Hodges (Ricky) of Hartsville, SC; his grandchildren, Walker Hodges and Pres Beard; and his niece Gale Creech of Chesterfield, SC..
