He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther "Bud" and Lou Eva Cranford Teal; his siblings, Debbie Christine Teal, Kenneth Carroll Teal, Roger "Shorty" Teal and Wayne Teal; his half-brothers, Dallas, Coleman, Ronnie and Jimmy O'Neal; his sister-in-law Faye Tolson Teal; and his close friend JoAnn McCormick.
He is survived by: his children, George Andrew "Drew" Teal of Asheboro, NC, Crystal Teal of Asheboro, NC and Buffie Manus of Asheboro, NC; his brother Darrell Teal (Gale) of Hartsville, SC; his sisters-in-law, Linda O'Neal and Lois O'Neal of Patrick, SC; his cousin B. J. Cranford of Hartsville, SC; and his pet Isabelle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
