It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dewey Thomas Lear (Chesterfield, South Carolina), born in Ruby, South Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lear and May Bell Jordan Lear; his wife Lou Ellen Turner Lear; and his brothers, Rev. Harold, Boyd R., William and Ernest.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Rusty Stover; his children, Charles Tucker (Libby) of Rock Hill, SC, Linda Stover of Rock Hill, SC, Jerry Wayne Tucker of Cheraw, SC, Ernest F. Tucker, III (Denise) of Rock Hill, SC and Donnie Tucker (Bonnie) of Rock Hill, SC; his siblings, Carol Hancock of Ruby, SC, Margaret Morris of Cheraw, SC and Ed Lear of McConnells, SC; and his close friend Alice Gurganus. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
