He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Johnson and Kate Thurman Johnson; his son Eddie Joe "Joey" Johnson; and his siblings, Grady Johnson, Keith Johnson and Margaret J. Hinson.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Gulledge Johnson; his son Bobby "Allison" Johnson (Melissa) of Ruby, SC; his granddaughter Brittany Faith Johnson; and his brother Mickey Johnson (Pat) of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and treated as his own children.
