With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bill Laney (Chesterfield, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2024 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bill Laney to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Minor Laney and Susie Knight Laney; his son Billy Gene Laney; his granddaughter Lacey Laney; and his siblings, Pete Laney, Lessie Hargett, Catherine Outen, William Laney, Edward Laney, Louise Nichols, Joann West, Frances Stevens, Richard Laney, Clyde Laney and Titus Laney.

He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Burch (Brian) of Jefferson, SC; his stepson Scott Stevenson of Lancaster, SC; his grandchildren, Carolyn Laney, Nicki Knight (Jerry) and Jessica Knight; his siblings, Roy Laney (Betty) of Pageland, SC and Carolyn Oliver of Greeleyville, SC; and his niece Dot Gunthrope.

Memorials may be made to New Life Freewill Baptist Church, 1526 Summit Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720.
