He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Braxton and Viola Wallace Tarleton; his wife Barbara Polson Tarleton; and his brother Kenneth "K. T." Tarleton. He is survived by: his daughter Robbie O'Neal (David) of Patrick, SC; his grandsons, Kevin O'Neal (Liz) of Charlotte, NC and David O'Neal (Amber) of Cheraw, SC; and his siblings, Walter Maynard Tarleton (Judy) of Cheraw, SC and Margaret Helen Jones of Cheraw, SC. He is also survived by numerous nephews and one niece.
