It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ervin Holt Sr. of Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred A. Holt and Ola Roof Holt; his wife Betty Jo Elwell Holt; and his siblings, Juanita Ford, Fred Holt, Jack Holt and Billy Holt.
He is survived by: his son William Ervin Holt, Jr. of Chester; his grandson William Ervin "Will" Holt, III of Chester; his nieces, Vickie Oates (Bill) of Chester and Heidi Lyles (Michael) of Fountain Inn; and his great-nephew Brenton Lyles (Larissa) of Greenville. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
