He was predeceased by: his parents, William Patterson and Margaret Ann Elizabeth Campbell. He is survived by: his wife Martha Jane; his children, David Patterson (Leah), Martha Beth and John Newt, Jr. (Nadine); and his grandchildren, John Newt, III, Ian James, Mary Elizabeth Patterson and Claire Arden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
