It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Thompson (Chester, South Carolina), born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on June 1, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jim may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Martin Thompson and Zelma Pauline Grant; and his wife Carol Jean Chasteen Thompson.
In lieu of any flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680; or to the charity of one's choice.
