He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Allen Byars; and his brother-in-law Tim Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Holley Byars; his father Jerry Lee Byars, Sr. of Chester; his children, James Curtis Byars (Bree) of Chester, Jerry Lee Byars, III of Virginia, Malinda Maree Byars of York and Amber Lee Byars (Ryan) of Blacksburg; his sisters, Laurie Wilson of Chester and Betsy Pullen (Joseph) of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Waylon Byars, Jordan Polston, Kash Franklin and Gracie Franklin; and his son Exterminating.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Pollard Funeral Home (115 York St, Chester, SC 29706). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pollard Funeral Home (115 York St, Chester, SC 29706).
