He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Francis Craig and Pearlie Lillian Bell Craig; his wife Ruth Crosby Craig; and his brothers, Carl, Bill and Ervin Craig.
He is survived by: his children, Vernon Craig, Jr. (Karen) of Chester, Denise Craig Stewart (David) of Chester and Anita Craig Barrett (John) of Rock Hill; and his grandchildren, Becky, Cliff, Lee Ann, Jason, Michael, Dana and Katie. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Westside Baptist Church (523 Rose St, Chester, SC 29706). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (149 Cemetery St, Chester, SC 29706).
