He was predeceased by: his parent Major Lee Thompson, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Kristin Roberts (Jason) of Lowrys, SC, Drew Thompson (Mackenzie) of Chester, SC and Chad Thompson (Maura) of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Clayton, Lilly, Easton, Emma Grace, Eden and Beau; his mother Bennie Smith Thompson of Chester, SC; his sisters, Lee Thompson Hunter (Guy) of Charleston, SC and Liza Thompson Stouffer (Matt) of Charlotte, NC; and his daughter Rebecca Clayton Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
