Carrol Lee Thompson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrol Lee Thompson of Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin C. Thompson and Josie Bailey Thompson; and his siblings, Eleanor, Gertrude, Doris, Mary, Bonnie, Earline, Earl, Henry, Raymond and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hudson Thompson; his sons, Carrol Grier Thompson (Lynne Wharton Thompson) of Greenville, SC and James Alan Thompson (Shannon LaRochell Thompson) of Blythewood, SC; his grandchildren, Aaron Thompson of Greenville, Chandler Thompson of Greenville and Sarah Grier Brumfield (Peyton) of Columbia; his great grandchild Porter Whitfield Thompson of Greenville; and his sister Pat Johnson (Mickey) of Pooler, GA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Barron Funeral Home (133 Wylie St, Chester, SC 29706). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
