It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caroline Pryor Marion Dawson of Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on May 15, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Malcolm Lafayette Marion, Sr.; her husband Edward Hood Dawson, Sr.; and her brother Malcolm Lafayette Marion, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Ann Dawson Castle (Gary) of Salem, SC, Edward Hood Dawson, Jr. (Cindy) of Greenville, SC and Robert Lambdin Dawson, Sr. (Emmie) of Seabrook Island, SC; her granddaughter Caroline Castle Laney (Whit); her children, Kathryn Castle (Ryan Mulligan), Pryor Dawson Rayburn (Trey) and May Dawson Reid (Hunter); her great grandchildren, Dawson Laney, Hobbs, Eliza Mulligan, Emmie, Charlie Rayburn, Bruce, Leila Reid and Caroline Marsh; and her caregivers, Dawson, JoAnn Sallade, Destinee Weston and Misha Bennett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
