He was predeceased by: his son Barry Timothy Vance. He is survived by: his wife Irene McWaters Vance; his daughters, Cheryl Watson (Maurice) and Tonya Smith (Chris) of Simpsonville, SC; his stepchildren, Kelly Bagley (Lex) of Chester, Charlotte Shannon Chester (Adam) and Mike Mincey (Sharon); his grandchildren, Meg W. Grable (Matt), Beth Watson (Michael), Katelin Smith (Chip) and Hunter Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Landon Bagley, Cole Bagley, Carlee Shannon and Ashton Shannon; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Grable and Kyler Castle.
