It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Warren Mayes Simmons (Chesnee, South Carolina), born in Ogden, Utah, who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Leroy and Retha Genelar Simmons (Mayes); and his siblings, Lawana Simmons Funk, Janoel Simmons, Vandella Simmons Fleming and Kenneth Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Sonya Simmons; his children, Shauna Taylor (Kenneth) of Gaffney, SC, Christopher Simmons of Rutherfordton, NC and Mandy Wieczorek (Richie) of Union Mills, NC; his stepchildren, Josh Bagwell (Stacey) of Mooresboro, NC and Chelsey Cole (Joey) of Forest City, NC; his siblings, Clarence Simmons (Doris) of Forest City, NC, Lucille Simmons Sewell of Idaho and Freeda Falk of Mooresboro, NC; and also, Leroy and Gail Collins of Lovell, Wyoming.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a special cousin.
