He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Pruitt and Mary Ella Barnes Pruitt; and his sons, Shane Pruitt and Dylan Pruitt. He is survived by: his children, Kayla Bellew (Colton), Lucila Pruitt, Ella Pruitt, Lance Pruitt (Gina) and Timothy Pruitt; his siblings, Ann Miller (Robert), Kay Lawter (Chick), Tonya Pruitt, Margie Burke (Tim), Roger Pruitt and Ricky Pruitt (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Brittney Pruitt and Josh Pruitt.
