With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Jean Barnett Smith of Chesnee, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on June 30, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Dupre Smith; her parents, Fred Barnett and Carrie Dillard Barnett; her daughters, Connie Smith and Dana Smith Hipp; and her grandsons, Joey Johnson and Jimmy Hipp.
She is survived by: her children, David William Smith (Linda) of Lyman, SC, Michael Lee Smith (Teresa) of Duncan, SC and Brenda Sherbert (Mike) of Roebuck, SC; her son-in-law Bobby Hipp; her grandchildren, Lacey Turner, Tina Johnson, Joshua Smith, Zachary Smith and Jordy Hipp; her great grandchildren, Eli Reece, Nolan Lail, Claire Johnson, Jayden Hipp, Ryder Hipp and Micah Turner; and her sister Carolyn Evans.
