We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2022, at the age of 95, Ray Homesley of Chesnee, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Homesley and Betty Homesley; his siblings, J. W., Troy, Ben, George and Fay Egnor; his former wife Marilyn Newman Homesley; and his daughter Carolyn Homesley Walden.
He is survived by: his friend Laura Hines; his wife Laura Hines of Chesnee, SC; his children, Vicki Kirby (Steve) of Kansas City, MO, Kent Homesley of Greenville, SC and Craig Homesley (Mary) of Hampstead, MD; his siblings, Helen Hilliard of Cary, NC and Wade Homesley (Orea) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Chad Walden (Megan), Courtney Walden Counts (Kenny), Sarah Kirby (Bryan Akkerman), Joel Kirby, Ian Kirby, Ethan Homesley (Stephanie), Ellen Homesley (Steven White) and Charlene Homesley; his great grandchild Kinley Walden; and his stepchildren, Jane (Hines), Biddix, Alton Hines (Wendy) and Leo Hines.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice House Foundation, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
