He was predeceased by: his parents, William "June" McDowell and Rev. Frances Lucille McDowell; his grandchild Tyquasia Young; and his brother Bradford McDowell (Barbara). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Marie McDowell; his children, Travis W. McDowell (Shikesta), Tanisha W. Floyd (Rell) and Terreyta W. McDowell (Anthony Gault); his grandchildren, Andrew McDowell, Tyzariyah Moore, Tyanna Carson, Nicolas Gault, Noah Gault and Nash Gault; and his siblings, Todd F. McDowell (Donna) and Tina S. Hamilton (Toby).
