It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Gowan Elder (Chesnee, South Carolina), born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel E. Gowan and Elizabeth Patty Gowan. She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Michael Elder (Teresa) of Cherokee Springs and Donald Maurice Elder (Tracie) of Chesnee; and her brother Kenneth Gowan (Judy) of Chesnee. She is also survived by two grandsons, two granddaughters, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
