He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Sarepta Corn Reece and Franklin James Reece, Sr.; his son-in-law Daniel E. Thompson, Jr.; and his brothers, Jimmy Reece, Billy Reece, Donnie Reece and Jerry Reece.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Fletcher Reece; his daughters, Angela "Angie" L. Bryant (Jonathan) of Spartanburg, SC, Michelle "Shelley" Reece Thompson of Chesnee and Jennifer Johnnie "J. J." Fowler (Buck) of Inman, SC; his grandchildren, Daniel Thompson, III (Tara), Andrew Hampton, Alanna Hampton, Dylan Thompson (Kaitlyn), Reece Thompson (Ashton), RayAnn Frick (Jacob) and Fletcher Fowler; his great grandchildren, Aariah Thompson, Kennedy Thompson, Gideon Frick, Grant Thompson and Walker Thompson; and his brother-in-law Dewey Gene Fletcher of Spartanburg.
