He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Samuel Lawter and Bonnie Mae Padgett Lawter; his stepmother Pauline Lawter; and his siblings, Betty Lawter and Roger Dale Lawter.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Mosley (Paul) of Inman and Mickey Lawter of Spartanburg; his siblings, Sally Lindsey of Chesnee, Polly Fant of Boiling Springs, Martha Mitchell of Alabama, Janie Edgins of Chesnee, Bobby Lawter of Chesnee and Lawrence Lawter of Boiling Springs; and his grandchildren, Tyler Mosley (Kristen) of Boiling Springs, Brystal Mosley of Inman, Chase Lawter of Spartanburg, Blaine Lawter of Spartanburg and Kaia Grace Lawter of Inman.
