He was predeceased by: his parents, Eckle Gladey Penley and Loretta Joyce Bradley; his former wife Linda Penley; and his sister Carey Penley. He is survived by: his daughters, Trina Bartram of Grandy, MN and Piper Penley of Chesnee; his siblings, Matt Penley of Chesnee, Sam Penley, Eckle Penley, Jenny Elliott and Charlotte Hunt of Bessemer City; his grandchildren, Edward Bergeron, Ariel Fromel, Elesha Fromel, Jaden Panama and Evan Bergeron; and his siblings-in-law, Chad, Tina Hutchins of Chesnee and Rennie Butler of Blacksburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
