He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Scruggs and Gertrude Alice Steadman Scruggs; and his former wife Betty Dean Lawter Scruggs. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Ann Scruggs of Chesnee; his children, Judi Wallace of Hemmingway, SC. and Garry Moore (Kathy) of Chesnee; his adoptive daughter Julie McKinney of Chesnee; and his brother Eugene Scruggs of Spartanburg. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Harris - Nadeau Mortuary (5880 Chesnee Hwy, Chesnee, SC 29323). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
