He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Horne and Pauline Horne; his son Ricky Horne; and his siblings, Hoyle Horne, Jim Horne, Norman Horne, Burdette Horne, Peggy Hammett and Francis McArthur.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Horne; his children, Nicole Horne, Janet Culbreth of Landrum, Teresa Collins of Spartanburg, Steven Horne of Green Creek, NC and Roger Horne of Green Creek, NC; and his sister Amanda Clark. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
