He was predeceased by: his spouse Louise; his parent Ceal Martin; and his brother John Early Martin. He is survived by: his parent Lois Brock Martin; his children, Michael W. Martin of Spartanburg and Pamela McCloud of Greenville; his sister Gail Miller of Cooley Springs; and his grandchildren, Chase Taylor Martin, Caitlyn Adams, Jessica McCloud and Ashley McCloud.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
