He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Haire and Mamie Dunn Haire; and his siblings, Ernest Haire, Orville Haire, Zeb Haire, Jeanie Harrellson, Zena Hamrick and Margaret Hayes.

He is survived by: his children, Don Haire (Holly) of Cheraw, SC and Janet Rivers of Chesterfield, SC; his grandchildren, Averyona Gainey, Elijah Haire, Abigail Haire, Elissa Haire, Raeleigh Rivers and Onnalaya Rivers; and his friend S. J. Paul (Doc).
