He is survived by: his wife Laura Purvis Kirby; his daughters, Jennifer Kirby (James Erwin) of Mayesville, SC and Jessica Hatcher (Jackie Hatcher, Jr.) of Darlington, SC; his siblings, Woodrow Kirby (Sheila), Charles Kirby, Kathy Shoemake, Joann Warr (Randy), Frances Locklear (Evans) and Dora Locklear; his grandchildren, Kirby Gainey of Baylee Gainey, J. J, Erwin, Zaylor Hatcher, Kross Hatcher, Ezra Hatcher, Salem Lomas and Bexley Lomas; his great grandchildren, Kyler Gainey and Paislee Gainey; his siblings-in-law, Angie Bryant, Brandon Wilson (Michelle), Chad Wilson and Tony Purvis (Debbie); and his aunt Shirley Bryant. He is also survived by family; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
