It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Attaway Rivers (Cheraw, South Carolina), who passed away on December 23, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Fanell Pigg Rivers; and his brother Louis Davis Rivers. He is survived by: his children, Jimmie Rivers (Michelle) of Ruby, SC and Scott Rivers (Dale) of Wadesboro, NC; his grandchildren, Jonathan Rivers of Ruby, SC, Meagan Stegall (Ryan) of Ruby, SC, Mary Kait Rivers Parker (Aaron) of Wadesboro, NC and Benjamin Rivers (Alexandra Irvin) of Wadesboro, NC; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Elliott Stegall and Eli Parker.
Due to the continued COVID-19 risk, the family has chosen to have a Private Family Graveside Service at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dewayne Evans officiating.
