He is survived by: his sons, Damon (Rowie), Audreaus and Terence Finklea; his grandchild Dartavis; his brothers, Donald (Coretha), Ronald (Pam), Arnold (Patricia), Anthony (Kathleen) and Gus, Jr. (Michelle); and his extended family Terry Thornton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
