It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Elder DePrete (Cheraw, South Carolina), who passed away on October 24, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leona Fowler Elder and Toy McLeeland Elder, Sr.; her husband Frank Joseph DePrete, Jr.; and her siblings, Robert Edward Elder, Charles Elder and Viola Elder Kimbrell.

She is survived by: her children, Joey DePrete of Bonneau, SC, Pam Quick of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rosemary Gray (Bryan) of Georgetown, SC, Lisa Harley (Barry) of Hartsville, SC and Jackie Bolton (Bobby) of Clover, SC; and her brothers, Toy Elder, Jr. of Boiling Springs, SC, Donald Elder of Pauline, SC, James Elder of Pauline, SC, Larry Elder of Charlotte, NC, Harold Elder of Wellford, SC and Kenneth Elder of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
