It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Mae Furr of Cheraw, South Carolina, born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Chavis and Rosa Wright Chavis; her spouse P. L. Furr; her son P. L. Furr, Jr.; her grandson Christopher Furr; her daughter Doris Mae England; and her stepfather James H. Chavis.
She is survived by: her sons, Jackie Furr (Susan), Richard Furr, Perry England and Scott Furr; and her brothers, Jesse Chavis (Wanda) and Alexander Chavis. She is also survived by several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
