He was predeceased by: his parents, Olive Jarboe and William Benedict Kastner; and his brother Albert Raymond "Buzzy" Kastner. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lloyd "Betty" Kastner; his children, William George Kastner (Cydney) and Deborah Anne Morelli; and his grandchildren, Stuart Morelli (Amy), Reed Kastner (Sarah), Betsy Keeler (Cory), Katie Kastner (Wilson), Ross Kastner (Lauren) and Steven Morelli (Julie).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers.
