He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Readen and Christine Claussen Readen; and his siblings, Ruth Readen, Fredricka Wilson, Dorothea Readen, Bertha Schwarz, Marie Readen, Mary Readen and Frederick Readen.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Readen, Jr., J. Troy Readen and Renee Readen Parsons (Don); and his grandchildren, Jeffery Readen, Jennifer Higdon (George), Wayne Greene (Morgan), Brandon Readen, Samantha Readen, Danielle Readen (Glenn) and Lindsay Hanckel. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel (3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, Charleston, SC 29414). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at the Bethany Cemetery (10 Cunnington Ave, Charleston, SC 29405).
