He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anne Magill Johnson Allison and Gerard Sieling Stelling; his wife Sarah R. Stelling (Sallie); his children, Robert M. Stelling, Jr. (Claire), Scott W. Stelling (Janie), Barbara S. Warren (Andy), Sarah E. Daugherty and B. K. Bonge; his grandchildren, Taber, Annie, Gill and Everett; and his brothers, Gerard S. Stelling (Grace) and James M. (Jim).
