She is survived by: her daughter Karen Patricia Matthews (Mike) of Houston; her grandchildren, Benjamin Murphy Matthews and Caitlin Merritt Matthews of Houston, Texas; her daughter Carla Hilton Lathbury of Hollywood; her stepsons, William Frank Painter Jr. of Los Angeles and Steven Michael Painter of Mount Pleasant; her stepgrandchildren, Bradley Ryan Painter of Houston, Valerie Sue Painter Sherpa (Jigme) of Daniel Island and Matthew Hamilton Painter of Mount Pleasant; and her sister Barbara Jean Blackburn of Florence. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews.
