She was predeceased by: her parents, David Battle Verner and Elizabeth Neil Verner. She is survived by: her sister Lucy Verner Seabrook; her daughters, Virginia Dawson Lane (Charles), Elizabeth Dawson Hassell (Fleetwood) and Mary Stuart Dawson Sutton (Mike); and her grandchildren, Beverly Lane Smith (Shawn), Charles Glover Lane, Jr. (Margeaux), Virginia Lane Stitzer (Brandt), Fleetwood Sharp Hassell (Ellen) and Louis Dawson Hassell (Colleen). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
