It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Joseph Diewald of Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes O'Dowd and Joseph Howard Diewald. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Diewald (Peggy); his children, Jacob, Patricia and Margaret Aquino (Jeff); the mother of his children Mary; his stepdaughter Kelly Kozakiewicz (Martin); his sister Theresa Thibaut (Hank); and his grandchildren, Wesley Michael Aquino, Abigail, Isabelle and Patrick Kozakiewicz.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1695 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd, Charleston, SC 29407). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Music Ministry at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Wallenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC 29407.
