Merla Mae Oliver Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merla Mae Oliver in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Merla Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Merla Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Poland and Rosa Bell Martin; and her siblings, Janie Easterling, Elizabeth Mallard, Walter Poland, Robert Polland, Alice Canaday and Jeanette Hilton.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dorchester Memory Gardens (11000 Dorchester Rd, Summerville, SC 29485).
