She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Gibbs, Sr. and Lula Bell Jordan; and her daughter Jonnette L. Gibbs. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Shannoah Michel and Brittany Gadsden (Sean); her great grandchildren, Zion, Zechari, Brycen and Braylen; and her siblings, Willie Gibbs and Esther Mundy (Robert, Jr.). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
