It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ellie Renau of Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on May 28, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Mary Ellie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Ellie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Renau and Georgie Keen Renau; and her siblings, Hazel Lucas, Joseph, John, George, Harry and Frank Richard Renau.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Alicia Errthum. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
