He is survived by: his wife Andrea Moore Hays; his children, Dr. Mark Hanna Hays, IV (Sarah), John Hays (Ginny), David Hays (Robin), Hunter Hays, Heather Bachman Hays and Holly Hays Orlando (David); his grandsons, Logan Orlando, William Hays, Julian Hays and Noah Hays; his brother Michael; his cousin John Barnes (Susan Highfield); and his sister-in-law Scottie Hays (Harry Hays). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
