She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Washington; and her parents, Lawton Haynes and Emma Joy Haynes. She is survived by: her son Peter J. Washington; her grandchildren, Michelle Haynes, Olympia Haynes, Arkim Haynes, Kristina Washington Davis, Lydia Gibson Cecil and Andrew Gibson; her great grandchildren, India Haynes, Kamerin Haynes, Keon Davis and Zoya Cecil; and her sisters, Gladys Lloyd (Jessie) and Jeanette Haynes.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Jerusalem Baptist Church (684 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC 29403). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Lucille's name to a charity of choice.
