He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Melendez and Margaret Capitan Melendez; and his siblings, Michael and Bertilda M. Menard. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his children, Vincent Melendez (Grace), Mark Melendez (Rosalind) and Michelle Howington; his grandchildren, Ginger Cardwell (Tony), Morgan Melendez (Natalia) and Dominick Howington; his great grandchildren, Myles and Bennett; his brother Robert Melendez; his sister-in-law Kaye Hull; and his son-in-law Clinton Howington.
