He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Lawrence Simonin Jr. and Inez Simonin of Charleston, SC; his daughter Allison Simonin; and his brother Micheal A. Simonin. He is survived by: his children, Susan Simonin, Tara Newman-Trim, Shane Newman (Juli), Priscilla Simonin and Leo Lawrence Simonin IV; his grandchildren, Cade, Kelsey, Anna, Issac, Taylor, Jakob and Brady; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Kyleena, Petra and Julian; and his siblings, Betty Simonin, Patricia Cooper (Simonin), Barbara (Simonin), David Schneider and Steven Simonin (Patsy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to The Logan Wood Foundation.
