He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Inez Wiggins Smith; and his siblings, Barbara Smith, Carl Smith, Alex Smith and Mary Frazier.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Jones Smith; his children, Joseph A. Smith (Karen), Javet Blunt, Dennis M. Smith (Angela) and Ramon Weldon (Chantea); his grandchildren, Alicia Smith, Cierra Smith, Alexis Smith, Amari Smith, Anthony Powell (Anita), Krystyna Powell, Danyelle Blunt, Whitley Moultrie (Justin), Cameron Smith, Sierra Smith and Dwayne Choice; and his sisters, Blanche Mann and Edna Smith. He is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
