He is survived by: his wife Merle Bennett Happe; and his children, Patricia Jenkins Happe (Kurt), Joan Bennett Happe, Joyce Happe Hanson, Joseph Henry Happe, III (Lisa) and James Hutchison Happe (Kerry). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
