We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2025, at the age of 77, John Stephen Canning of Charleston, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to John Stephen's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration John Stephen has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Canning (Jenniffer Canning). He is survived by: his wife Veronica Canning; his children, Christopher Canning (Meredith Canning) and Cynthia Propst (Benjamen Propst); and his brother Joseph Canning.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Chapel (1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston, SC 29407). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
